Here are just 4 benefits you will experience when you go with a Design-Build team.
You will have a single point of contact. That means no coordinating with an architect, contractor and engineer separately. The responsibility of the job will stay with one unified team, eliminating any finger-pointing caused by dealing with several companies.
You will save time. How? Work can move faster because the design and building phases can overlap. Construction can often start on early parts of the project before every detail is drawn. You will also avoid long delays that can be a result of separate bidding and redesign.
You will have better cost control. Prices are checked early in the process while the project is still being designed. We will work together to fit the budget and suggest smart material choices. This will lead to fewer surprise costs or expensive change orders later on.
You will feel how clear the communication is. Fewer mistakes happen when your Design-Build team work and talk to each other everyday. Ideas and problems will be fixed before they turn into costly fixes on the job site.

These are the main differences-
Roof deck attachment- Regular roofs use smooth nails. “Fortified” roofs use high grip ring-shank nails or screws installed in an enhanced pattern to nearly double wind uplift resistance.
Sealed decking- Regular roofs use standard felt underlayment that can tear away in high winds. “Fortified” roofs tape the seams or use fully adhered underlayment to stop water from leaking in the building if shingles ever blow off.
Roof edges- Regular roofs use standard drip edges. “Fortified” roofs use locked down heavier gauge metal edges secured with closer nail spacing.
Inspections and Certifications- Regular roofs require no special verification beyond basic municipal inspection. “Fortified” roofs require independent, third party evaluations with photos and documentation before certification is granted.
